The pattern
Color A
FSC 40.
Switch to color B
Row 1-4: With B, ch 1 (does not count as a st here and throughout), turn. Sc into each st across – 40 sts
Row 5: Switch to color A. Ch 1, turn. Sc into each st across.
Repeat rows 1-5 for pattern 13 more times.
Fasten off.
Border:
Rnd 1: Attach color B and ch 1. Sc evenly around the scarf, working an additional sc into approx every 2nd row end on the longer sides to prevent it from rippling.
Join with sl st into beginning sc.
Rnds 2-11: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 2 sc in each corner. Join with sl st into beginning sc. Fasten off. Weave in all ends.
