Introducing the 30 Day Ideal Me Challenge

The Step By Step Challenge For Designing Your Ideal Life & Mapping Out How To Finally Hit Your Goals

Hey, it's Brittany here.

I love this time of year! It always feels like there’s this huge shift in spirit that everyone feels collectively. There’s an uplift in energy that seems to come with the turn in weather, the coziness of the season, and the general buzz of activity that comes as the year winds to a close. There’s something about sweaters and cocoa (I know we have those year round but they just seem special around this time) that makes everyone feel a little cheerier.

I don’t know about you, but promptly following the holiday frenzy, I’ll be on the lookout for the influx of people rushing to start making good on their New Year’s resolutions. I’m sure you’ve noticed the general trend: For the entire month of January your gym is so packed youwonder if it’s a fire hazard, and then as the year progresses, it starts thinning back out until no one’s left but the regulars.

Isn’t that kind of a shame? All of these people start off the year with these great ambitions and then the fire just kind of dies out. What is it about resolutions that make this burn-out seem a little like a self-fulfilling prophecy? To throw a statistic at you, only 8% of people who make New Year’s resolutions actually achieve them.

If you’re thinking, “that’s kind of a downer,” well, I’m right there with you. 8% doesn’t really inspire confidence, and that’s a shame, especially because I don’t think the individual people making the resolutions are the culprit.

I think putting all of your faith solely into the idea that relying on willpower that is fueled by a New Year excitement is enough to make a resolution a reality is. I’m all about making an actual resolution, but I also firmly believe that you need to have strategies that you can use to turn that resolution into a habit that is sustainable and easy to integrate into your life. I hate the thought of all of these people giving up on their resolutions simply because they don’t know how to make their change sustainable.

Let's Make It Happen!

I want to see people actually achieve their goals, so I put together something that I’m really excited about! It’s called the Ideal Me 30 Day Challenge, and it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. I've created a FREE (woohoo!) 30 day challenge, complete with daily videos and printables, to help you create your ideal self by using daily strategies and techniques that will help you make your goals reality.

The goal of this challenge is to help you map out what your ideal me looks like and a path for achieving it.

Everyone's vision for their ideal me is different. Maybe you’ve always dreamed of being able to travel the Italian coast and speaking fluently on your trip, or maybe you’d love to be able to run a 10k and actually enjoy it, or maybe you want to buy your first home. Whatever it is, the goal of the challenge is to design it the way you want the rest of your life to look and use proven steps to make it happen.

The first half of the Ideal Me challenge will be focused on helping you identify your goals in the 5 different areas that make up your Ideal Me.

Health & Fitness – These are goals like “eliminate processed foods” or “lose 10 lbs in 4 months.”

Travel & Adventure – These are goals like “learn to speak French fluently,” “backpack around Europe,” or “visit every National Park.”

Finance & Career – These are goals like “pay off debt,” “stick to a budget,” or “save up for early retirement.”

Hobbies – These are goals like “write a novel,” or “take painting classes.”

Home & Relationship– These are goals like “find a partner,” “landscape your yard,” or “meet new friends.”

The rest of the challenge will help you narrow down your list to choose your 12 most important goals that will make up your Ideal Me.

Hmm…12 Goals, 12 Months in a year.  Is there a connection there?

Very astute, as a matter of fact, there is.   This challenge will focus on 1 new goal for each month of the New Year.  We call this your Ideal Me Challenge List. The idea is simple. Every month you’ll focus on accomplishing a new goal and prioritizing only that goal for that month, giving you the best possibility of success.

Why a month?

Many experts agree that to form a habit and really make it a part of your life that it requires doing that thing daily for 30 days to make it a part of your routine.  Each day of the 30 Day Ideal Me Challenge will include a custom video and worksheet geared towards taking another step towards mapping out your goals and achieving them.  The videos cover everything from dealing with limited time, to tracking your progress and taking accountability, all the way through to confronting the one true enemy: procrastination.  Each day gets keeps you on track and gets you one step closer to your Ideal Me.
