7 Travel Essentials You Can’t Leave Home Without

Are you about to board a flight?

Whether I’m preparing for a long-term flight or a short-term domestic flight, there are 7 â€œout of the box “ items I always travel with in order to make my journey more comfortable.

So let us get on with it and help make your trip preparation that much easier!

Carry On Essential 1 -Ear Plugs And Eye Mask

Ear plugs and an Eye Mask are a must for me if you want to catch some ZZZs on the plane or just chill out and relax.

Technically this is two items but often they can be purchased together in a bundle. The Bedtime Bliss Contoured Sleep mask and ear plug kit (Featured below) is the kit I have and use when I travel. You can order it on Amazon. I’ve tried a number of different eye masks in the past, and this one is definitely the most comfortable.

Carry On Essential Two –  Warm Compression Socks

I don't know about you – but there are always two things I can count on while I'm flying in a plane and those are that I'll be freezing the entire flight and I'll walk off that flight with swollen feet.

About a year ago I started to use warm compression socks on airplanes. These help keep my feet warm and the compression aspect of the sock helps to improve the oxygen delivery to your muscles which helps to reduce foot and leg swelling as well as cramping.

Carry On Essential Three – Travel Blanket That Optionally Doubles As A Sarong Or Beach Wrap

Revisiting the theme of always being cold on airplanes, I never travel without an airplane blanket. My personal favorite is the Full Size Cloudz Travel Blanket featured below because it's warm enough yet light enough that it can double as a beach wrap or sarong.

Carry On Essential Four – Tiger  Balm

You may not have heard of Tiger Balm, but let me tell you…it's a life saver. Tiger balm is an ointment made of herbal ingredients. It is primarily used for muscle and joint pain but I use it for pretty much everything from big bites to an alternative to vapour rub for congestion and coughs. It comes in a small jar and is extremely light and packable. A little goes a long way here.

This item is also available for purchase on Amazon by clicking the image above.

Carry On Essential Five – Purity Cleaning Facial Wipes

These bad boys are especially important to me if I'm flying on a long haul flight. There's something about stale airplane air that just makes me want to wash my face after a long flight. These can also double as wipes for your hands when water isn't in your immediate proximity.

Carry On Essential Six – Go Toob Travel Sized Empty Bottles

These bottles are extremely useful for many different reasons. If you're only bringing carry on on your trip then you aren't allowed to bring full bottles of shampoo, conditioner or moisturizer. These Go Toob bottles are the perfect size to squeeze some of your everyday product in here to take with you on the go!

Carry On Essential Seven – Go Toob Travel Sized Empty Bottles

These are a lifesaver when you're on the road traveling and aren't near laundry machines. Just dab this on any stains and it works like magic, instantly removing the stain without leaving and residue.

So there you have it! All of my favorite travel essentials. I buy all my items via Amazon as I get free 2-day delivery. All the images in this post are hyperlinked to bring you to the product page.
